In a previous post I explored tableau public and ran a quick analysis on the USA spending site. As a result, I learned about one of the reasons why I may have hit that snag. Today, I’m learning about Tableau predictions.
Recently, I am working with fixed level of detail calculations and as a result, I have picked up the Tableau order of operations. This led to another investigation.
How I can identify which entities that I can consider to be outside the norm with respect to some reasonable measures?
Finally, I found this tutorial, which provided insights on how to make predictions with Tableau and how to highlight those over achievers.
The tutorial is straight forward and provides some great insights on working with Tableau predictions to get outside the box. I recommend you check it out and see what kind Tableau predictions you can get out of it.
In the meantime, I’ll be looking to see what these functions can do for my current project.
