Last week, I typed up this little article on how to have a good time at the beach. Today, I follow up with how those changes that I made helped improve my experience. All I have to say is that I had sushi on the beach.
It turns out that Whole Foods is walking distance from Bradford. I picked up a can of She Can, a black-owned brand of wine that has been on my must try list for quite some time. I decided that I’d try Liquid Death water and sparkling water for hydration and a 16 oz. can of Sea Quench Sour Ale.
For eating, I decided on sushi and a charcuterie snack tray. It’s only natural that I picked the chocolate variety – that is the rule with wine. Last, but not least – I got a cookie.
Whole Foods didn’t have any ice!
That’s okay. I stopped by the concessions at Bradford and picked up two cups of ice before carving out my spot on the beach.
Yesterday’s beach lesson?
The shoes are a must, the blanket is amazing, and it’s a simple walk to Whole Foods for some sushi.
Next time around, I might want to bring a frozen bottle of water to keep things cold. That way I know I can quench my thirst and I don’t have to worry about a bottle of ice.
