Most Sundays, I make my way towards the Public Market to acquire some rabbit food for my darling Ké from the farm stand hosted by Deer Creek. On my way home, I stop by to pick up some breakfast. The most recent attempts have been to acquire some brunch at the Blue Bat.
My typical mornings had me arriving too late to catch a table. Normally, I stop in and grab a seat at the bar, but today I found myself with some perfect timing; wherein I was able to walk into the Blue Bat with enough time to get myself a table – by the river.
That’s when the boat parade happened.
That was a truly great surprise! Another great surprise is a pairing of the Churro pancakes with a guava mimosa; after the steak and egg taco that I devoured before I thought to grab a camera.
Brunch at the Blue Bat made for a fantastic morning. The food is delicious, the drinks are superb, and what an incredible surprise to see a parade of boats float by. I especially enjoyed the pirate minion.
Most of the boats advertise the Yacht Blast for Kids. More information can be found about that organization here.
