I met my new pal sometime around Thanksgiving last year.

I named him Ké because he had a habit of sleeping over my heart. It turns out that it’s a baby bunny thing, but I digress.
He’s a lion head/English angora mix. In my unending journey of rabbit care, I’m learning a few things. Like:
- How to shave him because if I don’t he gets too fluffy and his hair mats.
- How to clean his cage.
- What kinds of toys he likes.
In the past we were buying bulk hay from farm and fleet. Usually, he would devour it within a week. That’s a big bundle, though; so I switched to a new type of hay because I didn’t want a bale that large and my rabbit sure looks ornery.

Look at him. He is covered in it from head to toe. He never eats it. There’s hay everywhere and that’s only about a third of the bale!
I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing, but I still have a lot of hay leftover. I guess it’s inedible bedding until we run out.
